Story of the Device

This innovative little thing was created by Baicheng Innovations based in Shenzhen, China. The product was launched in 2015 and quickly drew attention and popularity due to its quality and amazing features, which completely overhauled the photography routine for amateurs and professionals alike. While Pluto Trigger was their first popular invention, Baicheng Innovations are working on many smart photo and video devices even now.

The founder of Baicheng Innovations, Jimmy Chen, is an Electronic Engineering graduate from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He uses his knowledge, skills and passion for photography to create various innovations that make the art of shooting more enjoyable for everyone.

24 Modes

This versatile smart camera device has not one or two but 24 modes that you can utilize to take that perfect picture. They are designed in a way that even someone with zero knowledge of photography can use them effectively. At the end of the day, good photography is capturing a moment that you want to preserve and cherish forever. Let us quickly list down all the 24 modes that Pluto Trigger offers. Let’s break them down to sets of 12 so it’s easier to give a brief description of features.

  • Shutter Release;
  • Timelapse;
  • HDR;
  • Startrail;
  • Video;
  • Timer;
  • Laser;
  • Sound;
  • Light;
  • Lightning;
  • PIR;
  • Droplet.

Shutter Release, as mentioned above, is the technology which allows you to release the shutter of your phone/camera remotely and wirelessly. It comes with seven different release modes depending on the situation or the object that you are photographing. With the Timelapse feature you can set duration, the number of shots, the intervals and, finally, make a video with hundreds of different images are taken. The HDR feature allows you to shoot up to 19 images with auto-exposure bracketing. Startail is when you want to take that stunning image of stars in the night sky with a range of long exposure images.

Laser feature is perhaps one of the most convenient options you get with Pluto Trigger. This is great for not missing that perfect capture due to human delay. The delay you get in this feature is tens of microseconds, which is virtually nonexistent. If you want to get one of the popping balloons or breaking glass shots, you can set the device to be triggered by the sound thanks to the Sound feature. Lightning feature allows you to take a professionally looking capture of the rainy sky by triggering the device to shoot an image with lightning.

  • AUX
  • Fusion
  • Sound
  • Vibrate
  • Motion
  • Distance
  • Voice
  • Smile
  • DOF
  • Solar Calculator
  • ND Filter Calculator
  • Rule 500

The fusion feature allows you to mix and match all the given options and make your own unique trigger according to the environment you are shooting in. You can also conveniently use the microphone of your smartphone to trigger the camera, which is ideal in wildlife photography settings where one should stay at a distance from the camera and the device. Vibration and Motion are another two features which can trigger your shutter with the smallest movements, without emitting sound or light especially if you don’t want to disturb your surroundings.

The Smile feature is currently only for iOS devices only. You can simply trigger a picture with a smile. If you want to take a picture from a certain distance from your camera, you can use the GPS on your phone to trigger the device when you are t a desirable distance. Or you can simply say “Pluto” to quickly click that capture, just like when you are saying “Cheese”!

What About Coupons?

Now that you have a coupon code, it is only a matter of redeeming it correctly. Most stores have a place where you can enter the code at the checkout, and you will have the discount applied and the final total after the discount before paying. It is very important that you confirm that the coupon is applied before you complete the checkout since it is very common to make mistakes when entering case-sensitive or random codes. Most of the leading online retailers show you if there is an error when entering the combination. If not, always make sure you check that the final total has actually become cover before you buy.

In case you do not see a place for entering the combination, which might be a User Interface problem or a design glitch, you can always contact the customer service and get help to apply your code successfully.

How to know if your purchase is eligible for discount?

Most coupon codes come with a deadline and a set of terms and conditions. Usually, they are mentioned in the fine print which is easy to miss. If you see that a promo combo is not working, it is possible that you do not fall under the eligibility criteria of the campaign. First of all, check if the deadline for the promotion hasn’t expired yet. Usually, these deals last for less than a week. Following are some of the most common terms and conditions that comewith these campaigns, so make sure that your purchase meets these requirements.

  • Coupon code cannot be applied to the orders previously placed;
  • Should be within the promotional period;
  • Not redeemable for cash or credit;
  • Not valid on items excluded from the promotions;
  • Not valid on sale items;
  • Should be entered prior to completing the order.

Tips and tricks

If your retailer allows you to use multiple codes at once, you can use them strategically to get the best value out of them. For an example, if you have two coupon codes with 30% discount in one and then 15% discount in another, make sure that you used the higher discount to the full price first. That way, when you enter the 15% off to the already lowered price, you get a greater reduction rather than using it vice versa.

Whenever you are using a coupon code, make sure you go for the free shipping option even with some extra purchases since delivery rates applied to the bulk purchase can negate the savings you’ve made through taking part in the promo campaign.

When to use coupon codes

If you find that your deal code has been expired but by only a day or two, do not hesitate to give a call to the customer support to see what they can do. More often than not, they will still provide a discount since at the end of the day, they want you to go ahead with buying from them, not the competitors.

There are many online stores that offer a flat off like 10% or 20% merely for subscribing to their mailing list. If you have a few active emails that you can use and only want to buy that particular product a few times, you can create a few accounts using the different emails to claim that discount. By creating accounts with competition websites, you can monitor and compare prices and deals offered for the same product.
